OSF Grief and Loss Support Group
Provides a forum to share feelings, experiences, concerns, and ideas with others who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one. For more information, call Kathy Steinz, Grief Counselor, at (815) 433-6091.

Streator: Meets the first and third Monday of every month at the Sreator Educational building from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm.

Ottawa: Meets the first and third Tuesday each month at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, Conference Room 2/3 from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

Mendota: Meets the second and Fourth Thursday of the month, Conference Room C inside OSF Saint Paul Medical Center from 3 to 4 pm.
Compassionate Friends
For families who have lost a child through death. Meets the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Zion Church in Peru, located at 1521 6th Street. Please enter through the north door at the back of the church. Contact Rita Studzinski, (815) 223-7663.

Provides support and education to help you navigate this role. Meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 am at OSF Saint Clare - Lower Level Conference Room in Princeton.

CASA
LaSalle County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the best interests of the abused and neglected children in the LaSalle County court and foster care system. CASA helps children: -Spend less time in the system -Experience fewer placement changes -Access better educational opportunities With this intervention, children are 80% less likely to return to the system in the future.
Youth Service Bureau
The Youth Service Bureau of Illinois Valley, Inc. (YSB) is a community-based, not-for-profit, child welfare agency that responds to the needs of children and youth through a variety of programs with the purpose of enhancing the quality of life for all children, youth, and families. YSB offers are variety of youth and family services, including: -Foster care services -Runaway and homeless youth services -Crisis intervention, counseling, & treatment YSB has provided services for children and their families in the Illinois Valley since 1976.
The Center For Youth and Family Solutions
The Center For Youth and Family Solutions helps people struggling with trauma, grief, loss, abuse, neglect, and other significant family life challenges. The Center For Youth and Family Solutions offers many services, such as: -Behavioral health counseling -Adoption services -Foster care The organization serves over 20,000 people each year throughout 37 counties.
